- 3. Feelings words to practice at home
- 4. Chores, coins and saving jars
- 5. Printables & certificates
What she's practicing
- • Naming feelings out loud
- • Kindness & friendship skills
- • Coins, saving jars & wants vs. needs
- • Confidence through play and art
How to help at home
- • Ask her to read you one page out loud — let her be the teacher.
- • Pick one keepsake from her Glow Book each week and ask about it.
- • Sessions run about 15–20 minute sessions — short and steady wins.
- • Celebrate finished chapters out loud. Progress beats perfection.
Book applications: Notice · Try · Share
At the final chapter of each five-chapter book, she can make one small application project. The goal is to use all five ideas, not to make a perfect poster.
Example: a five-box picture story about a tricky school-day moment can show a feeling, a strength, a helper, and a kind next step.
A simple grown-up role
- Ask her to point to one idea she remembers from each chapter.
- Let her choose drawing, talking, acting it out, or writing short labels.
- Ask what one safe, small step she could try this week.
Feedback that helps
- • Can she explain what each of the five parts does?
- • Is the next step kind and safe?
- • Did you notice effort, a specific strength, or a thoughtful choice?
Do not require a personal story. If a project names a worry that feels too big, pause the activity and help her reach a trusted adult.
A note for grown-ups
Every Little Leaders lesson comes with a printable companion activity so parents and teachers can extend the learning off-screen.
