  4. 4. Standards, safety and hard conversations

What she's practicing

  • • Credit, taxes & real budgets
  • • Career, college & entrepreneurship
  • • Standards, boundaries & relationships
  • • Leadership and legacy building

How to help at home

  • • Ask her to read you one page out loud — let her be the teacher.
  • • Pick one keepsake from her Glow Book each week and ask about it.
  • • Sessions run about 40–50 minute sessions — short and steady wins.
  • • Celebrate finished chapters out loud. Progress beats perfection.

Book applications: Research · Decide · Revise

The final chapter of every book includes an applied brief for a future decision, wellbeing boundary, career step, or community proposal. It is a learning artifact—not an application, financial commitment, or public post.

Example: a first-year decision file can compare two fictional options with questions about total costs, support, safety, and what information is still missing.

A simple grown-up role

  1. Ask her to label assumptions and use fictional or public examples when personal details are private.
  2. Invite her to explain how each of the five chapter ideas changed the decision or proposal.
  3. Help her identify which next step needs a trusted adult, organization, or professional input.

Feedback that helps

  • • Are the claims specific and supported?
  • • Does the plan name limits, questions, or risks instead of overpromising?
  • • Can she describe a realistic revision after feedback?

Do not ask her to contact unfamiliar people, apply for credit, sign anything, spend money, or publish a project. Review privacy and consent before sharing work beyond the household.

A note for grown-ups

Future Queens unlocks optional add-on modules on relationships, boundaries and decision-making with parent/guardian approval.
